About me
Carling Revill BSW MSW RSW
My journey into this role began at the start of my education. Coming out of high school I was unsure of what path I wanted to choose. On a whim I enrolled in the Addiction and Mental Health Worker program at Centennial College. Taking this program spearheaded my passion for social justice, helper roles, and working closely with people. My drive to learn more about mental health lead me to get my Bachelors of Social Work and Masters of Social Work at Lakehead University. School was not something that I always excelled at (specially when I was younger) , but once finding a career that inspired, challenged and excited me, I became a lover of learning and this curiosity is how I approach my clinical work in therapeutic settings.
In addition to the education, I have gained knowledge and experience in the professional field by working with developmentally delayed and neurodivergent families and children in case manager roles. This is where my passion for working with autism, ADHD and intellectual disabilities started. I also work in crisis in a hospital setting, and this has cultivated another passion for working with individuals with acute mental health problems who are often experiencing suicidal ideation and self harm.
Overall, my education, job experience, and personality come through in my therapeutic work. In the therapy room, you will find me an active listener with a gentle approach that may involve humor, curiosity and warmth.
If you remain curious and interested in starting our work together I welcome you to reach out and we can begin the therapeutic journey.
